Patrick Doane

A member of the Haven String Quartet since 2024, Patrick Doane also performs with orchestras and ensembles throughout the Northeast, including the New Haven Symphony, Hartford Symphony, Harrisburg Symphony, and Orchestra New England, as well as recitals across the region. Patrick earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Juilliard and his Doctorate from The Graduate Center, CUNY. His teachers include Daniel Phillips, Sally Thomas, and Naoko Tanaka. Described as a “compelling violinist” by the New York Times, Patrick has also been praised by The New Haven Independent, which wrote that “his virtuosic playing and obvious command of his instrument was always in service of grand, thrilling musical gestures.” A longtime teacher at Music Haven in New Haven, he has guided students ranging from beginner to graduate level who have gone on to study at Juilliard, NYU, Mannes School of Music, and Walnut Hill School for the Arts.
