Peterborough Festival
The 2023 Viva Bach Peterborough Festival opened with Sergey Schepkin’s masterful performance of Bach’s Goldberg Variations, followed by a dazzling evening of concertos and arias featuring violinists Veronika Schreiber, Jaroslaw Lis, Solomiya Ivakhiv, and Julia Glenn, soprano Mary Bonhag, cellist Ignacy Gaydamovich, and oboist Noah Kay with the Viva Bach Ensemble. The festival concluded with four of Bach’s sacred cantatas, performed by soloists Mary Bonhag, Wee Kiat Chia, William Hite, and Alan Cline, together with the Festival Chorus and Ensemble under the direction of Colin Mann.
