Matthew Lee

Quickly becoming one of New England’s most in demand flutists, Matthew Lee is a New Zealand-born, Boston based flutist. Frequently seen performing with the Boston Ballet, and Portland Symphony Orchestras, he has also performed with the Springfield and Albany Symphonies, Boston Landmarks Orchestra, and the Boston Philharmonic. Before moving to the United States, Matthew was the piccolo player for the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, and acted as Principal Flute on various occasions. Matthew holds degrees from the University of Canterbury and Boston University, his teachers include Anthony Ferner, Linda Toote, Diana Morgan, Elizabeth Rowe, Sharon Sparrow and Cynthia Meyers.
