Jared Swope

Acclaimed for his “breezy baritone” (Bachtrack) and voice “perfectly suited to baroque music” (KCMetropolis), Jared Swope performs widely in early music, oratorio, and contemporary classical repertoire. Solo engagements for 2026–2027 include Bach’s St. Matthew and St. John Passions, Handel’s Messiah, and Porpora's Dixit dominus. In 2027, he makes his National Sawdust stage debut in Philip Glass’ A Madrigal Opera. Jared collaborates regularly with Trinity Choir, True Concord Voices & Orchestra, Fourth Wall Ensemble, Clarion Choir, Spire Chamber Ensemble and Oregon Bach Festival Chorus. His discography includes recordings with the Saint Thomas Choir of Men & Boys, Yale Schola Cantorum, Fourth Wall Ensemble and more. An advocate for contemporary music, he has premiered works by David Hurd, Jeff Beal, Aaron Jay Kernis, and others. Jared holds degrees from Yale University, University of Notre Dame, and Missouri State University.
